Safe Snug Moss Babies is a colourfully illustrated children’s book designed to teach about an aspect of ancestral First Nation's culture that has almost been forgotten. Similar to all traditional Native teachings, this book follows the basic mould of teaching at more than one level at the same time. The basic story teaches young children how First Nation’s women of the past kept and transported their babies in carefully crafted “moss bags.” While the basic story itself is very informative, the underlying theme is of much higher significance. That is, children learn that regardless of their race, colour or cultural background, everyone is  unique and special. It is our individual uniqueness that defines who we are as a community. Safe Sung Moss Babies is a book sure to stimulate the minds of young children.
